State of Fashion 2018
For State of Fashion’s first international public event, Glamcult Studio did the art direction for the campaign as well as the design of the visual identity and exhibition, which will be opening on the 1st of June, 2018. The concept of which altogether employs a visible reference to the language of protest and resistance. Printed on a series of scarves are State of Fashion’s 8 principal hashtags that play as a manifesto to their cause and initiative—striving for change in the fashion industry by looking for more ethical and sustainable forms of labor and production within the fashion industry.
Alongside a series of campaign shots, a visual identity, and exhibition design—Glamcult Studio has also worked on a series of statement films to promote the cause and raise awareness prior to the opening of the exhibition. A series of short videos have been periodically released as a form of commentary by some of the fields leading designers and influencers. And lastly, a campaign video featuring a dress that has been made by re-purposing the scarves made for the campaign shots.
